The Belmont Centre is situated next to Holy Cross Church and is across the churchyard. Parts of it are booked out on a regular basis to regular clients but it is available for parties, weddings, baptism parties and wakes. The former Parochial School and Church Centre has been renovated to a high standard with underfloor heating featured throughout.
There are two rooms available for hire: The Cardale Hall which has provision for 90 people to be seated around tables, and The John Batchelor Meeting Room which is available for small meetings.
The facilities include kitchen featuring two ovens with induction hobs, fridge and commercial dishwasher. In November 2024 The Belmont Centre was inspected by the Food Standards Agency and retained its five star food hygiene rating which is the highest level, showing that standards are very good. There are Male and Female toilets and a disabled toilet with baby changing facilities.
The Belmont Centre also has a defibrillator in case of emergencies. This is located by the entrance on the right as you go in.

Booking information
To enable us to help you if you ring, please have the following information available:
- Date required
- Start and finish time
- Name of person responsible for booking/paying
- Organisation (if applicable)
- Address and contact telephone number
- Room and facilities required
- Number of people expected to attend
- Outline details purpose of hire
If the Hall or Room required is available a 'Hiring Agreement and Conditions of Hire' form will be sent to you. The completed form should be returned along with the required deposit, and the total cost of hire should be paid fourteen days prior to the date of hire.
Access for the disabled person
All rooms and facilities are fully accessible to the disabled person.
Emergency Procedures
The person responsible for the booking has the responsibility of ensuring that all visitors are made aware of the emergency evacuation procedure.
